In 1992, Beth Timoney started teaching Irish Dance lessons as an After-School program at Maternity BVM in Philadelphia. Little did she realize that 35 eager children would be the motivation to begin Pride of Erin in 1994. Rosemarie Timoney, Instructor of Timoney School of Irish Dance and Beth's Mother-In-Law, mentored Beth and helped lead her to start her new dance school off with a bang! The school started performing at nursing homes, libraries, and senior centers, but quickly began performing on TV and in large venues such as The Dawn Show, QVC, Carnival Cruise Line, and Walt Disney World. These original 35 students has grown to over 100 dancers in the present day. As of 2022, Pride of Erin is proud to announce that Jaclyn Timoney, alongside her mother is now using her 20 years of experience to help inspire dancers of all ages.
Beth Timoney is a Certified Irish Dance teacher and adjudicator under CRDM in Philadelphia County, Bucks County, and Montgomery County. Pride of Erin School of Irish Dance is not only a competitive school but a performing school. Students are encouraged to expand their creativity and confidence in all classes, performances, and competitions. Our philosophy embodies incorporates teamwork, enthusiasm, and loyalty. It is our mission to teach technique, form, and history while promoting the enjoyment of cultural enrichment.
Jaclyn was born into the Irish Dance community following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother. She competitively danced for Ryan Kilcoyne for 15 years and has been teaching at Pride of Erin for over 10 years. Jaclyn has received her TCRG in 2022. Jaclyn is currently an elementary school teacher in addition to dance.
Fun Fact: Jaclyn has competed in over 200 feisanna!
Hailey has her grandmother to thank for getting her into Irish Dancing when she was 4 years old. She danced for Ryan Kilcoyne for 14 years and is an Open Championship level dancer in CLRG. Hailey currently works as the Director of Integrated Health, directing a team that provides medical care to the homeless in Montgomery County.

Fun Fact: Haily cherishes the many memories she made with her friends dancing her 8-hand and going to Worlds.
Belinda started dancing in 1997 under the instruction of Beth Timoney. She competed at a Prize Winner level and also helped instruct in her teenage years. Belinda danced until she was a senior in high school then went on to pursue her family and career. In 2017, we invited her back into the Pride of Erin family.

Fun Fact: Belinda's daughter is now a 2nd generation Pride of Erin dancer with the same love for Irish dance as Belinda.
Meghan started dancing with Pride of Erin at 5 years old. She danced for 15 years and competed up to the level of Open Champion. She has been teaching for 9 years helping with beginner and advanced classes, performances, feis, and recitals.
Fun fact: Meghan was an "Irish Potato" in the Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade
Caroline began dancing at 4 years old with Pride of Erin where she joined her sister Meghan. She danced for 15 years where she competed up to the level of Prizewinner. Currently, Caroline is teaching Kindergarten and has been teaching for 5 years with beginner classes.
Fun fact: Caroline is a third-generation Irish dancer. Her grandmom, mom, and sister all danced!
