In 1992, Beth Timoney started teaching Irish Dance lessons as an After-School program at Maternity BVM in Philadelphia. Little did she realize that 35 eager children would be the motivation to begin Pride of Erin in 1994. Rosemarie Timoney, Instructor of Timoney School of Irish Dance and Beth's Mother-In-Law, mentored Beth and helped lead her to start her new dance school off with a bang! The school started performing at nursing homes, libraries, and senior centers, but quickly began performing on TV and in large venues such as The Dawn Show, QVC, Carnival Cruise Line, and Walt Disney World. These original 35 students has grown to over 100 dancers in the present day. As of 2022, Pride of Erin is proud to announce that Jaclyn Timoney, alongside her mother is now using her 20 years of experience to help inspire dancers of all ages.
Beth Timoney is a Certified Irish Dance teacher and adjudicator under Rince Tua Nua in Philadelphia County, Bucks County, and Montgomery County. Pride of Erin School of Irish Dance is not only a competitive school but a performing school. Students are encouraged to expand their creativity and confidence in all classes, performances, and competitions. Our philosophy embodies incorporates teamwork, enthusiasm, and loyalty. It is our mission to teach technique, form, and history while promoting the enjoyment of cultural enrichment.
Jaclyn was born into the Irish Dance community following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother. She competitively danced for Ryan Kilcoyne for 15 years and has been teaching at Pride of Erin for over 10 years. Jaclyn has received her TCRG in 2022. Jaclyn is currently an elementary school teacher in addition to dance.
Fun Fact: Jaclyn has competed in over 200 feisanna!
Julianna has been an instructor for 6 years with Pride of Erin. She has danced with Pride of Erin since she was 4 years old under the instruction of Beth Timoney and Jaclyn Timoney. She is an Open Champion level dancer in RTN and has competed internationally. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Biology: Genetics.

Fun Fact: Julianna's hard shoe tapping was featured in a recorded album for the Irish rock band Shades of Green!
Hailey has her grandmother to thank for getting her into Irish Dancing when she was 4 years old. She danced for Ryan Kilcoyne for 14 years and is an Open Championship level dancer in CLRG. Hailey currently works as the Director of Integrated Health, directing a team that provides medical care to the homeless in Montgomery County.

Alyssa has been an instructor for Pride of Erin for seven years. Previous to instructing, Alyssa had competed at the Prizewinner Level and learned to dance under the instruction of Beth Timoney and has been dancing since 2003. Alyssa is the first recipient of the Kiernan's Kindness Memorial Cup and Scholarship.
Fun Fact: Alyssa's favorite dance memory is spending summers at Dance Camp!
Isabella has taught at Pride of Erin for two years. She has been dancing for over 10 years; competitively for five years under the instruction of Beth Timoney. Isabella was a recipient of the Kiernan J. Timoney Scholarship Award in 2022.
Fun Fact: Isabella is studying at Gwynedd Mercy University to become an Occupational Therapist
Belinda started dancing in 1997 under the instruction of Beth Timoney. She competed at a Prize Winner level and also helped instruct in her teenage years. Belinda danced until she was a senior in high school then went on to pursue her family and career. In 2017, we invited her back into the Pride of Erin family.

Fun Fact: Belinda's daughter is now a 2nd generation Pride of Erin dancer with the same love for Irish dance as Belinda.
Meghan is an instructor and dancer and has been with Pride of Erin for about 20 years total. Growing up, Meghan competed and entertained with Irish Dance. She loves teaching and giving back to Pride of Erin and to Beth. Meghan received the Kiernan's Kindness Award in 2020.
Fun Fact: Outside of dance class, Meghan works as an EMT!
Haylee started dancing for Pride of Erin in 2002 when she was in first grade. After taking a break in high school she came back and competed at the Prizewinner level. Haylee has been instructing since 2016, and enjoys choreographing ceili dances. She is looking forward to the new season and will be enjoying her time back!
Fun Fact: Haylee and her husband welcomed their first baby last December.
